Dave Dennis: Free to face the Lions
The Waratahs have been buoyed by news captain Dave Dennis and centre Rob Horne have been cleared to tackle the British and Irish Lions on Saturday.
Dennis and Horne were initially among a 10-strong group from the Sydney-based franchise that had been made unavailable for the match after being called up by Australia.
However Wallabies coach Robbie Deans has now agreed to release the duo - along with Peter Kimlin and Scot Sio, who are free to play for the Brumbies on Tuesday.
Dennis and Horne join Bernard Foley and Matt Lucas - who were released from the Australia Sevens set-up - in being allowed to play in the prestigious fixture at the Allianz Stadium
Waratahs head coach Michael Cheika remains without Benn Robinson, Sekope Kepu, Kane Douglas, Michael Hooper, Wycliff Palu, Berrick Barnes, Adam Ashley-Cooper and Israel Folau, who have all stayed with the Wallabies squad.
Tatafu Polota Nau, Greg Peterson, Mitchell Chapman, Sitaleki Timani, Michael Hodge and Lachie Turner will also miss the match through injury, so Cheika has bolstered his squad with eight Shute Shield players.
