Tom Croft: Leicester and England flanker out for season

England and Leicester flanker Tom Croft will miss the whole of the Six Nations campaign and the entire domestic season with a knee ligament injury.

Croft played in Saturday's Premiership opener against Worcester, but damaged his anterior cruciate ligament and had surgery on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old missed much of last season with a neck injury.

But he returned to fitness in January and was part of the triumphant British and Irish Lions tour to Australia.

More to follow.
