ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale thought Duke played terrible against Miami on Wednesday. (Photo: Robert Mayer, USA TODAY Sports) Unlike LeBron James, the Duke Blue Devils didn't take their talents to South Beach. Coach Mike Krzyzewski's top-ranked team seemed to leave it all back in Durham, getting blown out by 27 points by Miami (Fla.) and looking like the Hurricanes' punching bag for much of the night. GAME STORY: Miami pounds Duke in upset One way to tell that the Blue Devils were getting freakishly embarrassed was when TV's most Duke-biased personality completely bashes them. Early in the second half, ESPN analyst Dick Vitale ripped Duke without any remorse, paying ultimate compliments to Miami. "This is the poorest performance I have witnessed from a Duke team in all my years sitting courtside," Vitale said passionately on the live ESPN broadcast. He later added, "Warm up the bus, this game is over. ...(The Blue Devils) have no one to blame but themselves." With Duke reeling and left searching for answers (or their shooting touch), Miami (Fla.) is looking more and more like a legitimate contender to win the ACC after routing Duke and challenger N.C. State losing to Wake Forest on Tuesday night. Ah, cue the Will Smith. If this team advances in the NCAA tournament, you know "Welcome to Miami" will be playing on TV as the team's anthem.
