The Manti Te'o saga has taken a new twist, and this time, the girl is real.
Alexandra del Pilar is a student at St. Mary's College, the all-girls school near Notre Dame. Whether Pilar and Te'o were dating is unclear.

Inspection of Pilar's Twitter feed yields a picture of the two sitting on Santa's lap and another photo of leis Pilar attributes to Te'o hanging from her car mirror.
"Thank you @MTeo_5 for my car smelling so good :)" reads a tweet from Nov. 16.
"A month ago my Grandpa wrote this about @Mteo_5! Who would have known" Pilar tweeted Nov. 18.
Another post from January 7th wishes Te'o and Notre Dame luck against Alabama in the BCS championship.
Pilar's last tweet is from Thursday:
