Super Bowl hero Jacoby Jones gets bad Super Bowl tattoo

After scoring two huge touchdowns in Super Bowl XLVII, it's understandable that Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones would want to ink a permanent reminder of the biggest game in his football career, especially since it took place in his hometown of New Orleans.

Jones, who already had the state of Louisiana on his left bicep and a giant mural of the city of New Orleans on his back, added a design of a cartoon Raven in front of the Lombardi trophy with a Super Bowl XLVII caption below it, placing the design on top of what appears to be the Superdome roof.

The execution may have been a little rushed, as the end result looking more like one of the title characters from Heckle & Jeckle rather than a fierce bird of prey. The letters and Roman numerals appear crooked, although years from now, the workmanship is going to be a lot less important than the whole "I won a Super Bowl" thing.

Jones wasn't the only member of his family to get inked after the win. As this Instagram photo details, Jones' mother Emily London-Jones, who plied the entire Ravens team with homemade cooking during Super Bowl week, also got her ankle tattooed, although it's unclear whether her design was Super Bowl related.

As far as celebratory Super Bowl tattoos go, Jones' new design is merely teardrop sized compared to the gigantic championship ring Green Bay cornerback Sam Shields got on his neck after the Packers' win in Super Bowl XLV. About to become a restricted free agent, the giant "G" may be the only Packer logo he's still wearing in September unless the team is willing to give him a significant raise.
