Holloway optimistic over play-offs
Ian Holloway is confident stuttering Crystal Palace will get over the line and book their place in the npower Championship play-offs.
The Eagles could have secured a top-six spot with victory at south London rivals Millwall on Tuesday but had to settle for a goalless draw in a scrappy, nervy encounter. Palace are now without a win in nine matches but know a point at home to Peterborough should be enough to extend their season and keep their Barclays Premier League dream alive.
Palace boss Holloway said: "We need one more point and with a performance like that I can see us getting it. I want to get Palace in the play-offs and if we do get there I think we'll be a handful."
He added: "I've been confident in my team all along. The fact is we have had an horrendous run, but sometimes you have to enjoy what you get.
"We were a threat, we looked solid and I thought everyone in my team played well so let's enjoy this one.
"Then we've got another one to enjoy on Saturday and we are one of the lucky teams, we are at the right end.
Millwall also have plenty to play for when they head to Derby on Saturday knowing they still need a win to be sure of surviving.
"We don't want to be worrying about what's happening up and down the country," said Lions boss Kenny Jackett.
"It's in our hands and we want to win. We've had lots of big games this season, it's a terrific league and that's why we want to stay in it."
