McEachran in Boro frame
Middlesbrough midfielder Josh McEachran could return to the starting line-up against Peterborough.
McEachran, on loan from Chelsea, was back on the bench as an unused substitute in Saturday's defeat at Wolves following an ankle injury.
But striker Emmanuel Ledesma will not be included in manager Tony Mowbray's plans.
The Argentinian striker, who has missed the last two games, is struggling with an ankle problem.
Defender Stuart Parnaby (hamstring) could be included in the squad after returning to training last week, but midfielder Julio Arca is out for the rest of the season due to a toe injury.
Boro, who have lost their last four matches, have taken only seven points out of a possible 42 this year and are six points adrift of the play-offs.
Peterborough will check on Michael Bostwick.
Midfielder Bostwick, who has been playing as a centre-half, was forced off with a hamstring problem during the second half of Posh's 1-0 win at Blackpool prior to the international break and had still not recovered in time for the visit of Cardiff on Saturday.
Bostwick was rated at 50/50 ahead of the 2-1 victory over the npower Championship leaders.
Florent Cuvelier was included in the squad against Cardiff but the on-loan Stoke midfielder did not make it off the bench and will hope to make his debut at the Riverside.
On-loan midfielders Davide Petrucci and Alex Pritchard (ankle) are still not fit, with the former having returned to Manchester United after failing to recover from a hamstring injury.
