Leonardo Senatore: Faces ban if charge is proven
Argentina forward Lenoardo Senatore has been accused of a biting offence during Saturday's defeat to South Africa.
Senatore, who plays his club rugby in England with Worcester, has been cited for allegedly biting South Africa lock Eban Etzebeth.
The incident occurred during a brutal Rugby Championship contest in Mendoza which saw the Springboks emerge 22-17 winners.
Francois Louw at one point appeared to claim his eye had been gouged, but while that alleged offence did not rate a mention in the Citing Commissioner's report, Senatore's did.
The governing body overseeing the four-country tournament, SANZAR, released a statement which read: "Senatore is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (m) Acts contrary to good sportsmanship when he allegedly bit South African player Eben Etzebeth.
"Upon further review of the match footage, the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the Red Card threshold for foul play."
No date for a disciplinary hearing has been released but, if found guilty of the offence, Senatore could face a ban of between 12 weeks and four years. Source : http://www1.skysports.com/rugby-union/news/12336/8888186/rugby-championship-argentinas-leonardo-senatore-cited-for-alleged-bite
