Juandre Kruger: Has agreed to team up with Racing Metro
South Africa lock Juandre Kruger has agreed a deal to play for Top 14 big-spenders Racing Metro next season. Kruger, who has been capped eight times, will see out his current contract at the Blue Bulls before teaming up with Racing for the 2013/14 season. The 27-year-old is in his second spell at the Bulls, having played for the Currie Cup side before moving to Northampton in 2010. He returned after two seasons and was one of the standout performers in the 2012 Super Rugby campaign. Bulls head coach Frans Ludeke told the club's official site: "It is always good to know and to hear that your players are wanted all over the world, but unfortunately it is not always possible to hold on to them once those offers start coming in. "With the exchange rate as it is at the moment, it is very difficult to remain on level terms with those clubs when it comes to contract talks. "We were very keen to extend his contract, but financially it was just not possible. We are very happy for Juandre, as it is a great offer he received, but that left us in an unfortunate position that we could not match it."
