Kenyon Martin's Texas home is for sale. (Photo: Realtor.com) The Dalworthington, Texas, mansion of former NBA star Kenyon Martin is on the market for a cool $5 million and comes equipped with a nine-car garage, multiple wet bars and a pecan orchard. The 15,000 square-foot house in the Arlington suburb sits on 8.4 acres and features seven bathrooms, six fireplaces, a master bedroom that's bigger than your apartment and that standard of any upscale home, the pecan orchard. In real estate parlance, that could mean Martin has two pecan trees on his property. I prefer the alternative scenario: Kenyon Martin tending to his pecan orchard like Marlon Brando did to his oranges in The Godfather. With a $500,000 down payment and a 30-year mortgage, monthly payments would run around $23,500. For that, some of your amenities would include: • A pool bordered by two life-sized dolphin fountains. The pool at Martin's house. (Photo: Realtor.com) • A nine-car garage. And in case that isn't enough for you, Jay Leno and/or Xzibit, there's also a four-car carport. • Two water slides. • Not one, not two, not three, but FOUR bowling lanes, you know, for all those parties in which three lanes wouldn't suffice. Why stop at four? Once you get to more than two, what's the reason for the cut off? Why not go for broke and just put in 25 lanes, a pro shop, a shoe rental stand and a snack bar, complete with a surly employee and hot dogs that were first cooked during the ABA days? You're telling me Kenyon Martin's house has more water slides and bowling lanes than places in which to sleep? Martin played 42 games with the Los Angeles Clippers last season. He has been unable to land a roster spot with an NBA team this year. Tags
