Chelsea Linked With Stephane M'bia

Chelsea could make a surprise move for QPR midfielder Stephane M'bia this transfer window, but the deal depends on whether or not QPR can sign Arsenal target Yann M'villa this January.

The Blues are in the hunt for an energetic, box to box midfielder to compete with Ramires, John Obi Mikel and David Luiz in the two defensive midfield roles.

For all the attacking prowess Chelsea currently have, the Blues are lacking in squad depth in there defensive midfield area. David Luiz has made the recent transistion into midfield, and Benitez is looking to bring in more face to add competition to an already competitive squad.

Mbia has started in 14 of QPR’s 22 Premier League games so far this season. However, he has an unwanted disciplinary record, picking up five bookings and a red card.
