Richardt Strauss: Ruled out of the RBS Six Nations
Leinster and Ireland hooker Richardt Strauss has been ruled out of the RBS Six Nations because of an ankle ligament injury. South African-born Strauss, who made his debut during the recent autumn internationals, will be out for up to 10 weeks because of the injury which he suffered during Leinster's Heineken Cup victory at Exeter on Saturday. Ireland head coach Declan Kidney has called up an additional seven players - five of them from Munster - to the training squad as they prepare for their opening game against Scotland. Munster stars James Coughlan, Tommy O'Donnell, Mike Sherry, Damien Varley and Ian Keatley plus Leinster duo Rhys Ruddock and Kevin McLaughlin have all been added to the training squad. Ulster's Roger Wilson was considered but has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.
