Chipper Jones Die-hard Florida fan Chipper Jones was as bitter as the rest of Gator Nation after they were stunned and upset by the Louisville Cardinals 33-23 in the Sugar Bowl Wednesday night.
Jones, who has become a legend on social media since he joined last July, turned to Twitter to utter his frustration.
"Never seen a more undisciplined football team in my life. As a life long UF fan, that was embarrassing," Jones tweeted.
Jones' comment was re-tweeted almost 1,000 times by mid-afternoon Thursday.
He wasn't done and followed up with: "I can handle getting beat, but to show ur [fannies] in front of the whole country? Sure hope the inmates ain't running the asylum down there!"
The Cardinals were 14-point underdogs heading into the game. Not only did they earn their biggest victory in school history, but it was also the biggest upset in a BCS history.
Jones, who has over 218,000 followers, was drafted by the Atlanta Braves out of a Jacksonville, Fla high school in 1990. He retired following the 2012 season.
