We need to be more clinical says Coventry City boss Robins

Coventry City manager Mark Robins feels that the Sky Blues need to be more clinical as they take on League One leaders Tranmere Rovers at the Ricoh Arena.

City created chances in their 1-0 defeat at Carlisle United on Sunday but could not put the ball in the net and speaking to club journalist Kieran Crowley, Robins said:

"It is a big challenge for us and we need to get it right as we have lost two in the league on the bounce and that isn't the standards we need.

"Some of the football we have played recently has been good and on reflection, we could have come out of the Carlisle game with the win as we missed around six chances.

"We are creating the chances but we need to be clinical and take our opportunities. It will be difficult against Tranmere as they are a very well organised team and they have brilliantly this season.

"I am happy for Ronnie Moore, who managed me when I was at Rotherham, as the side have had their best start in a long time.

"What might be important is the first goal as it gives us the attacking imputus and we have scored the first goal in plenty of games this season. That could be crucial in determining the winner between the two sides.

"The side is completely different to the one which played Tranmere earlier in the season so they should expect a different prospect."
