George Lowe: Over 100 appearances already for Quins
Harlequins centre George Lowe has signed a two-year extension to his contract which commits him to the club until the summer of 2016.
The 23-year-old is a product of the Quins academy and has made over 100 senior appearances, scoring 24 tries, since making his debut against Wasps in 2009.
Lowe established himself as a first-team regular the following season before playing a starring role in Quins' Aviva Premiership title victory last year, starting in the win over Leicester in the grand final at Twickenham.
He also started in the Amlin Challenge Cup final win in 2011 and added an LV= Cup winners medal last season, and he was part of the England squad that toured South Africa last summer.
Director of rugby Conor O'Shea said: "People will probably ask to check his birth certificate when they hear George is still only 23 and has already played over 100 times for the club, starting in the XVs that have won the Amlin Challenge in 2011, the Aviva Premiership in 2012 and the LV= Cup in 2013.
"He has incredible experience for someone of his age and in that respect he is now maturing as a player.
"This experience, coupled with George's physical capabilities, should see him move his game on to another level in the coming years.
"It is really exciting for everyone here at Harlequins knowing what he can achieve, and that he wants to commit to doing it here with this club is a great thing."
Lowe added: "As soon as I was offered a new contract at Harlequins I knew I was going to stay. I have grown up at this club and know all the players and coaching staff really well, so it was a very easy decision to make.
"It's always an honour to wear the Harlequins shirt and I'm looking forward to achieving more with this group of players over the coming seasons." Source : http://www1.skysports.com/rugby-union/news/12546/8905825/harlequins-centre-george-lowe-signs-two-year-contract-extension
