FC Barcelona already have top spot guaranteed in Champions League group G, but their visitors in Wednesday night’s game at the Camp Nou have much more to play for. Benfica are currently second, but level on seven points with Celtic, meaning they will need to at least match whatever the Scots achieve in their final fixture at home to the already eliminated Spartak Moscow.

100% focused on Barça

Benfica will have had ten free days ahead of Wednesday’s appearance at the Camp Nou. Their last game was in the domestic championship, where they are currently top of the table, on November 24, a 2-0 win against Olhanense. Since that match, the players and coaches have been focusing exclusively on the all-important final game in the Champions League group.
