11:34PM EST December 3. 2012 - LANDOVER, Md. -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will have no lack of evidence if he chooses to dole out punishment for a kick and a stomp during a skirmish in the Giants-Redskins game Monday night.
ESPN replays clearly showed Redskins offensive lineman Will Montgomery on his back on the fringes of a pile after a third-quarter fumble, when Giants defensive tackle Linval Joseph grabbed him by the leg in an attempt to pull him away. Montgomery responded by kicking Joseph just below the crotch, prompting Joseph to stomp on Montgomery, clipping the inside of his arm.
It was no Ndamukong Suh stomp, however, as Joseph hardly connected.
Nobody was ejected after the play, with Joseph and Kory Lichtensteiger receiving offsetting personal fouls.
The Giants took over deep in their own territory after Alfred Morris' fumble was confirmed by review.
