Aaron Craft hits the shot of the tournament (GIF)

Aaron Craft was playing it cool.

From the moment the Ohio State guard took an inbound with 29.9 seconds left in a tie game with Iowa State, it was clear he, and only he, was going to take the final shot of the game.

Craft received the pass near the half-court line and began dribbling out the clock. With seven seconds to go, he was near the sideline, 35-feet from the rim. His dribbling was so casual he could have been running out the clock in a blowout.

With six seconds to go, he feigned a drive and sidled to the center of the court. With three seconds to go, he started his move. Craft lowered his shoulder to fake like he was driving to the rim. This backed off the defender a half-step and gave the guard just enough room to calmly pull up and release a three over the outstretched arm of Georges Niang.

Craft held his follow-through as the shot swished. It wasn't quite a buzzer beater -- Iowa State had 0.5 seconds to get off a desperate final heave -- but it was the closest possible thing.

The guard's first reaction when he saw his shot had put Ohio State in the Sweet 16? He waved at his celebrating teammates to stop cheering and get back on defense.

Just as cool as when he started.
