Harry Redknapp would like to remain in charge at Queens Park Rangers next season, but appreciates that relegation may cost him his job.
The vastly-experienced coach was drafted in to the Loftus Road hot-seat in November and charged with the task of preserving QPR's Premier League status.
He has overseen an upturn in fortunes, but the club remain inside the drop zone - seven points from safety with just eight games remaining.
Redknapp remains confident that he can steer a course to safety, but has made it clear that he would like to remain at the helm for 2013/14 regardless of the division QPR find themselves in.
He said: "It is up to the chairman and board what they want to do if we go down.
"And whatever they want to do is fine with me.
"If they say they are looking to go another way, then it would not be a problem.
"But I like it here and am happy. I don't even think about going down. It doesn't enter my mind."

Redknapp claims to be enjoying life back in club management, but concedes that he could have walked away from the game had QPR not come calling - with the former Tottenham Hotspur boss having spent five months out of work after leaving White Hart Lane.
He added: "If I had stayed out longer, I might not have come back. The longer I went, it wasn't like I was thinking 'Oh I have got to get back in'.
"I was quite enjoying my life - it wasn't a problem. I have plenty of things I would do away from football.
"If I had been out longer, who knows? But then I nearly took the Ukraine job. The longer you are out of it, you think life is okay. But I'm back now and full on."
