Damien Hill's position is under scrutiny
Damien Hill's position as head coach of the Melbourne Rebels is in the balance following the club's slump in form.
The Rebels are currently 13th in the Super Rugby standings after five successive defeats, with the club underperforming considering the talent they have available to them.
And the problems haven't been limited to the games either, with Kurtley Beale and Cooper Vuna both sent home for a post-match altercation during the tour to South Africa.
Hill is currently contracted until the end of the current season, however Melbourne chief executive Steve Boland has hinted that changes could be made sooner rather than later if things do not improve.
"We've had some discussions with Damien," Boland said.
"The coaching window and player recruitment window can't wait until the end of the season for those sorts of decisions so we need to make a decision on our coach well before the end of the year.
"We're all in the same boat. We need to see some performances that justify the team we've got and the effort everybody's putting in." Source : http://www1.skysports.com/rugby-union/news/18304/8611022/Melbourne-Rebels-to-make-decision-on-Damien-Hill-s-position
