Butler and Marquette delivered one of the best games of the tournament Saturday night, and Bulldogs forward Andrew Smith had a chance to send Butler to the Sweet 16 with a buzzer-beater after both teams had traded the lead throughout the second half. Thanks to some stout defense by the Golden Eagles, Smith's heave didn't quite go as planned.

Marquette advanced to the Sweet 16 for the third consecutive year, holding on to win 74-72. Butler coach Brad Stevens put on a smile as he shook Marquette coach Buzz Williams' hand.
