Barça fans have plenty of fine memories of Balaídos. The Celta stadium has seen its fair share of Barça magic, and these five goals are clear examples. Romania’s Gheorghe Hagi scored probably the most spectacular goal of his career there in a league match in 1994/95, in which he struck home from the middle of the park, the ball floating as if suspended on the heavy fog that day.

Two years later, Catalan Òscar García showed Celta what he was made of in the 1996/97 season. He scored twice, including a fine strike from outside the area, and from almost the same place he volleyed home an assist from Ronaldo.

    Rivaldo and Gudjohnsen goals too

Brazilian Rivaldo showed Balaídos why he was considered one of the greatest free kick takers of all time. His UEFA Cup goal was a veritable work of art.

And finally we have Icelander Gudjohnsen, who in 2006/07 beat Pinto, the keeper who has since moved to FCB, after delightfully controlling a Deco assist with his chest, to by chipping the ball over the defender and meeting it on the volley to score possibly the best goal he ever converted in a Barça shirt.
